Beautiful Little Emerald.

Title: Beautiful Little Emerald.
Rating: Light R, I think.
Subject: Bookverse.
Summary: I can't do summaries so I just won't bother.
Disclaimer: <strike>Elphie's all mine.</strike>

“Where are you going?”

She clambered down from her bed, dragging the sheet draped around her with her. Elphaba paused, turning her head to look briefly back over her shoulder. She continued to do up the buttons of her blouse, then turned around fully.

“Don’t leave me.”

Elphaba tilted her head to the side as the smaller girl crossed the room towards her.

“It’s alright, Galinda. I’ll be back later,” Elphaba told her, with a smile.

“But where are you going?” Galinda repeated. Elphaba smiled, a smile Galinda found herself suspicious of. “Elphie,” she warned.

“I have to pick something up. I won’t be long, my sweet, I promise.”

“What are you getting?” Galinda pressed, however relented and sighed when Elphaba tapped her nose and grinned.

“Never you mind.”

“Be quick - you’re missing out.”

Galinda winked cheekily, and Elphaba placed a gently kiss on her delicate lips, before leaving the room, leaving Galinda to her own devices. She returned to the bed, sitting down on the edge with the white sheet still covering her, then lay back, sighing contently, smiling to herself as their morning played itself again in her head.

Elphaba, walking swiftly into Central Shiz, was experiencing a similar feeling. She pulled her cloak around her tighter as the chilly breeze bit her skin, smiling at the thought of Galinda.

She almost skipped across the street leading to a row of dainty shops, a smile fixed on her green lips as she scanned the row, all exclusive little boutiques with prettily decorated windows filled with marvellous displays. She thought to herself that it was no wonder Galinda took pleasure in visiting this place, as it matched her almost perfectly, everything so fancy and delicate.

The smallest of the shops, in the centre of the row, its window displays glistening with various jewels, seemed the most favourable for what she’d come in search of. The soft ding of the bell as she opened the door reminding her somewhat of the sound the glass orb Turtleheart had made her as a small child, if she’d tapped it or it knocked against something. Hearing it again as she closed the door behind her, she smiled. Although what exactly had made her smile she wasn’t sure. Favouring that it might be the thought of Galinda, waiting eagerly in their dorm room for her return, she continued her quest.

She scoured the display cabinets, an image firmly implanted in her mind of what she imagined she was looking for. She flashed a pleasant smile to the Munchkinlander behind the counter as he briefly looked up from whatever he was furiously scribbling into a book.

“Oh, Elphie, it’s beautiful. It’s just like you - beautiful and green,” Galinda said, and planted a passionate kiss onto Elphaba’s lips. She continued downwards, her lips gliding along Elphaba’s collar bone, her tongue dipping into the hollow of Elphaba’s throat.

Elphaba scanned the shelves behind the glass. The amount the stones shone reminded her of her sister’s shoes, finding herself in awe of these stones in a similar way to those shoes; they were beautiful.

“It’s a beautiful little emerald, Elphie, just like you.” Galinda’s kisses trailed a little further down. “And it shines so brightly. Absolute perfection, just like you.” The kisses returned to Elphaba’s lips as hands explored, delving into places unseen by any other, caressing gently over the flat plane of Elphaba’s stomach, and ever so delicately over the areas of desire.

Elphaba took her hands down over Galinda’s back, over the curve of her hips to her buttocks, squeezing lightly. Both hands then returned to Galinda’s waist, holding on as she let her head fall back onto the pillows, moaning softly.

There were plenty of blues, pinks in abundance, diamond-like stones scattered all over. But there was a distinct lack of green. Story of my life, Elphaba thought, attempting to remember where, other than in the Emerald City, there had been anything in a large quantity of green. She struggled, and then surrendered, and continued in pursuit of that emerald Galinda found so attractive.

“You’re so beautiful, Elphie. And you know that I love you,” Galinda whispered into her ear. “You’re eyes sparkle the way the emerald does, and your beautiful skin glows just the same.”

Elphaba, by this time, was barely able to take notice of what was being said, as she found herself spiralling further and further into ecstasy. Galinda’s mouth against her neck, and the pale, dainty fingers between her legs sending her into a state of something unknown, something without a word to describe it.

Blushing at the thought of the obscenities that had fallen from her lips, and feeling the need to squeeze her thighs together at remembering such a morning, she dipped her head to avoid her now deeper shade of green being noticed and continued - not that there was anyone other than the Munchkinlander in the shop to notice, and he wasn‘t paying her any attention.

Then there it was, just as Galinda had described it to be; something more beautiful than anything Elphaba could ever imagine owning.

She smiled to herself as she paid for it, smiling all the way back to Crage Hall, greeting Galinda with an even brighter smile as she entered their room. Galinda was still wrapped in the sheet, but now sat at her dresser with a pencil in her hand, sketching something she’d covered up before Elphaba had been able to see. She closed the sketchbook and put the pencil down, standing up to greet Elphaba.

“I told you I wouldn’t be long,” Elphaba said as she hung her cloak up. “And I see you’ve managed to keep yourself amused.”

“Where’ve you been?” Galinda questioned, reaching up on her tip toes to kiss Elphaba.

“You’ll see,” Elphaba replied, and grinned.

“You mean, green thing. Can’t you just tell me? I’ll drop this sheet if you tell me,” Galinda told her, a cheeky smile on her face.

“Hmm, I’m tempted. But it’s a surprise.” Elphaba slipped her arms around Galinda’s waist and kissed her. She grinned. “Bed - now.”

And so Galinda obeyed, sitting herself cross-legged in the middle of her bed.

Elphaba went back to her cloak. “Close your eyes,” she told Galinda, waiting until the blonde’s eyes were closed tight before dipping her hand into the pocket of her cloak to retrieve a little black, velvety box. “Keep ‘em closed,” she warned, and sat down beside Galinda. She placed a gentle kiss on the smaller girl’s lips, and watched as those lips then formed a smile.

Galinda wriggled a little, scrunching her nose up and giggling. “Elphie, what are you doing?” She felt more kisses across her cheek, on her neck. “Elphie! Stop teasing.”

Elphaba laughed softly, her hand finding Galinda’s. She held onto it, stroking Galinda’s fingers and perfectly manicured nails lightly.

“This surprise had better be good, Elphie, for the amount you’re torturing me with it. And it had better not be some kind of filth you’re planning on taking me to bed with.”

“Don’t worry,” Elphie assured her with a kiss, “just keep your eyes closed and trust me, ok?”

Galinda nodded. Elphaba let go of her hand briefly to open the box and remove the ring, then gently slipped it onto Galinda’s finger.

“There,” she announced softly. “You can open your eyes now, my sweet.”

And so Galinda did, a beautiful smile spreading across her lips as she gazed down at the ring, holding her hand out to admire it. She bit her bottom lip. “Oh, Elphie, you shouldn’t have.”

“You were right - it is beautiful. Almost as beautiful as you.”

“But you really shouldn’t have bought this for me Elphie. Beautiful as it may be, you shouldn’t have spent all that money on me,” she pouted, and Elphaba kissed her.

“But now I’m with you all the time, aren’t I?”

“Yes,” she smiled, “I suppose you will be… thank you, Elphie. I love you.”

Galinda placed her arms around Elphaba’s neck, kissing her, the sheet slipping downwards. She pressed herself against the green girl to stop it, giggling, and finding herself being pushed back onto the bed by her lover.

“You’re wearing far too much for my liking,” Elphaba spoke quietly into her ear as she ran her hand down Galinda’s side.

“Speak for yourself!” Galinda laughed and pulled Elphaba closer.

Don't Let Go.

Title: Don't Let Go.
Rating: PG.
Summary: Fluff.
Authors note: My first post here - be kind. Comments appreciated.

Elphaba sighed, setting her pen down on her notes. She slumped forwards a little, her forehead falling onto her palm. Glinda watched her, frowning, and tilted her head to the side slightly.

“Elphie,” Glinda pouted, “what’s wrong?”

Elphaba shook her head; she sat up a little straighter, both hands falling into her lap. Another sigh escaped her, although less heavily than the last. “Nothing,” she replied, and shook her head again.

Glinda’s frown deepened as she gazed across the room at her. “Oh, Elphie, don’t you lie to me. I can see something’s troubling you.”

“It’s just this assignment, that’s all,” Elphaba told her, “it’s a little more difficult than I’d expected it to be.”

“You’ve barely even looked down at it in the last half hour. You’ve been too busy gazing out of the window.” A hint of irritation slipped through in Glinda’s voice; holding it back had failed.

Elphaba showed the same awkward tone. “I’m thinking,” she told Glinda.

“What about? Clearly not this assignment.”

“No. Not the assignment.”

“Then what?”

“You.”

Glinda sighed a little as she smiled, and slid off her bed. “What about me?” she asked as her arms snaked around Elphaba’s shoulders.

Elphaba took her hand and kissed it gently - so gently the gesture was barely felt. But it was there, all the same. And Glinda smiled as Elphaba’s lips left her hand, leaning over her more to press her own lips against a green cheek. “So what about me?” she pushed. “What were you thinking?”

Elphaba closed her eyes and leant back against Glinda, their cheeks rested against one another’s. “Just you.”

“Well you looked upset.”

“I was concentrating,” Elphaba smiled, “on how beautiful you are.”

“Oh, Elphie - don’t say that. I’m not.” Glinda held onto her tighter. “I’m not.”

“No, you are beautiful.”

“Stop it.”

Glinda straightened up, unwrapping her arms from around Elphaba. An attempt to turn away was unsuccessful as Elphaba remained in tight hold of her hand, pulling her back as Elphaba span around in her chair. Standing up, she pulled the smaller girl closer to her, a green hand settling on a pink-laced waist.

“But it’s true,” she told Glinda, a small smile on her lips.

“Well I don’t-”

“Glinda look at me.” The blonde only turned her head further from Elphaba’s gaze. “Glindy, look at me, please. Look at me!” And so Glinda unwillingly obeyed.

“Don’t do this.”

“Glinda you’re more beautiful than you could ever imagine.”

“Well I don’t want to imagine,” she told Elphaba and frowned.

“Oh, why not?” Elphaba slid her hand down Glinda’s cheek, then along the sharper line of her jaw. “Why not?”

“Because I don’t believe it.” She was sincere, her voice… hollow, and stern, as if warning the other girl - which Elphaba did not much like.

“Well I’m not sure I believe you,” she replied frankly.

“What do you mean?”

“I’m green - no one wants to come near me and I can accept that. You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever laid eyes on, you’re absolutely stunning, everyone loves you and you could have anyone you wanted. It’s so obvious and yet you don’t believe it,” Elphaba smiled.

Glinda’s frown merged with a weak smile. “But I want you,” she told Elphaba, “I don’t care about anyone else - I want you.”

Their lips locked together, both sets of eyes closing, and green hands sliding over pink hips… until Glinda pulled away.

Elphaba watched her frown again. “What is it, my sweet?”

“I don’t know,” was the small reply, “I really don’t know. It’s just… strange.”

“What is?”

“This - feeling. Like butterflies, only more lovely.”

One of Elphaba’s hands glided across to Glinda’s belly. “Butterflies in your tummy?”

“I don’t know.”

“Don’t be nervous, if that’s what it is?”

“I’ve no idea. It’s… when you touch me, when you’ve got your hands on me, holding on to me, it takes over and I’m left wondering what on earth I’m supposed to do. All sense leaves me,” she admitted.

“Would you like me to let go?” Elphaba enquired.

“No! Oz, no,” was the quick reply. “It’s wonderful. It makes me feel all warm and - I’m not sure.” She tilted her head upwards so her lips met Elphaba’s again. “Please, Elphie, don’t let go of me,” she whispered softly as she sank into Elphaba’s welcoming arms.
